The Book
I am a writer who has longed to publish a physical book. I have penned poems and stories throughout my life and have authored several blogs along the way.
My memoir is my life's work. As I've aged, it has become apparent that telling my story is, not only, cathartic; but also an opportunity for others to realize they are not alone in their struggles and challenges.
In my writing, I uncover the truth behind the question, Who am I?, and delve into the beauty of discovering who I am apart from what I do.
Who Do You Think You Are? is now complete, and I am ready to enter the editing and publishing phases. My goal is to print and publish my book for purchase in early 2025.
The Budget
With ten thousand dollars, I can solidify a publishing agreement that includes editing, proofreading, cover jacket design, and interior design of the book. Formatting, publishing, and converting the book to an eBook are included, as are marketing and other benefits similar to, but not limited to, book submission to industry-accredited book awards and the opportunity to attend book festivals.
The obvious risk of a Kickstarter campaign is that enough funds will not be raised, but I am sincerely hopeful that friends and family will not only donate but will spread the word to others who may share an interest in my book being published. Also, the fact that my previously reviewed manuscript is complete and ready for editing and publishing assures backers that there is a project and agreement to publish based on the funds being raised.
