Begin Again

I subscribe to Bella Grace Magazine. It's one of the best magazines I've ever read. It's a thick magazine with heavy pages, beautiful photographs and articles written by women all over the world. Not only are the pages gorgeous, but it's filled with "prompts" at the end of some entries. So, as you read through the magazine, you also have the opportunity to write. There are lined pages for you to fill, and once you've completed the prompts, you then have a journal of sorts... Such a great creation.
An entry that I read the other day was about blogging... one woman's story of her blog journey. A thought-leader that she mentioned, Seth Godin, is someone that I have followed for years. The author mentions his take on blogging and the importance of making it a daily habit.
The caveat to Godin's invitation, though, is to write for yourself, for personal growth as opposed to writing in hopes that your blog becomes "famous" or attracts a large following. The majority of blogs don't make it on the social scene.
While it may be important to some to have a large presence, I think I've used "getting followers" as an excuse NOT to write a blog. I kinda forgot the point which is to write for the sake of writing and to write for my audience of one.
My goal is to use this space for me. If you stumble upon my blog, great... no promises of a "wow factor" here... For me, this is my place and time to "Begin Again".
