I'm so grateful to be here with my girlfriends...on the water, at the beach.
Water is the place where I connect most to myself and to God.
The water against the horizon is stunning.
The beach is quiet. Not crowded. Just a fun ride in the golf cart to our cute cabana.
I'm happiest on the water, and I think it helps lower my stress level and gives me a sense of calm that is unlike any other setting.
I'm spending time with Eliza who wanted me to come on this trip...she WANTED me to come. I couldn't resist nor would I try to.
Sitting here on the couch with the gulf view.
Girls laughing. Giggling.
Life is good.
A golf cart for quick transport to our cute beachside cabana...
A private pier to the bayside. Pavillion.
Devastation is here. There is a tremendous need for restoration and repair...debris lining the road, blue tarps covering roofs to protect homes from further destruction...
It's hard to see the rubble...but against the backdrop of the Gulf, regardless of the contrast of beauty...there is permanent beauty.
Permanent restoration
Soul-filling backdrop
Waves sloshing upon the shore
A reminder of continual cleansing
Washed
Fresh
Refreshed
Renewed
Restored
There is no place in the world that satisfies my need for connection to my heavenly father...it is the water==the cleansing water--washed over and again...
Clean
Without blemish
Beloved
Here... in this place of beauty... I'm closer to Jesus and to myself than anywhere else on earth.

I don't need to explain. Quantify. Qualify.
This is my place
This is my gift
This is the reminder that I am continually being wash in the cleansing flood of the Lamb
Never am I not experiencing new life. New joy. New goodness. New grace. Perfect presence.
