Love Knot

The voice of Love is always before you

The question is:

Can you hear it?

If you cannot distinguish the voice of Love, do not assume it is extinguished altogether

Love is soul and spirit

The noisy world seethes

It seeks to evaporate Love’s call amidst its din of selfishness and divisiveness

Should Love be fleeting, reserved, held back for the rare occasion?

No.

The voice of Love is always present

Give pause to note its lyric, discerning every line

Love’s verse is always Love

And its refrain is of the same

Love labors

Love births pure Love

Love does not coil and recede

Love is not afraid

Love lives in color

Love remains

Love is the salve that soothes

Love tourniquets the bleeding

Love is the balm of brokenness

Without Love, our voices are a hideous cacophony of noise

The discord of pomp and circumstance holds the hand of pride before its fall

All while stiff-arming Love, striking it to the ground only to return and beat that same drum again

and again

and again

Enough

Have we forgotten Love?

Do we even care?

What of Love?

What of life?

What of this being human?

We have put Love on the defense

Yet Love is our ally

We have unwittingly stayed its term

That is…

Until…

Unless...

We have our own way?

Really?

What Love is this?

A tug-of-war?

A tight rope untethered?

Again

And

Again

And

Again

What Love is this?

I do not recognize it

This knot is of affliction

Unauthentic, this is not love

Where is the 3-corded strand entwined into the unbreakable Love Knot?

What do you know of Love?

Does it cut and bruise?

Does it snap?

Does it snuff out our very breath?

No.

Love IS breath.

Love IS Life.

What of Love?

Where has it gone?

Who so arrogantly assumed Love could be sent packing, bereft of return until the deceitfully calculating winners have won?

A wolf in sheep’s clothing?

Stand back

Stand guard

Love reflects only Love

Love is not slave to impulse

Love heeds no whim

Love does not leave

It is not divisive

It does not flail in the wind,

Lurk in the shadows or

Disintegrate in the storm

Love thrives in any climate

Love is a survivor

Love is the a holy grail

Love, my friend, is the Redeemer

Love wears no disguise

Love is not deceived

It wears no human skein of arrogance and pride

It flaunts not its airs

Love IS the air

But...

Love without lovers is abandoned

Robbed of purpose

Void

Look in the mirror

Look at your self, your selfie

There she is

There he is

There Love stands... next to you

Look closely, my dear

You were born for Love

You were made in it’s very image

Love is strikingly beautiful

Love fills your very being

Don’t hide it, please

Reflect it

The voice of Love, my sons and daughters, is calling.

Do you hear it?

Love knows your name

Her call is soft, strong, beautiful and convicted of reconciliation

Take on her voice,

Forgo the cunning sirens who fail to deliver

For Love’s sake, reveal her

Love is our friend

Love is our common bond

Love suffers... but not alone

Love is kind

Love is tough

Love is a well-versed song

Its melody sweet

Its voice steady

Can you hear it?

Are you listening?

Have you made room for true Love?

Love is your dance partner

She returns time and again to the top of your card

Dance, children of Love

Dance

Love leads...

Left and right

She knows the rhythm

She knows the rhyme

She knows the measure

Remember Love

Take comfort in Love

Seek rest in Love

You can...

You have permission...

Because...

True Love never ceases, never comes to an end

True Love’s call returns fresh every morning

Listen

Listen to Love

Love is listening for you

Love is waiting for you

Love is pursuing you

Love knows your name

Love is love is love. It knows no other name
