Spot-on for a Friday

I took myself on a date today. I've been having trouble coming up with ideas for what to do with my artist self.

One of the tasks for this week in The Artist's Way is to spend a weekend day with yourself, doing something you love. I'm postponing that one, and it's okay.
I have to let myself off the hook. I want to do this perfectly, but that's what I'm trying to get away from...perfection.
So, instead of a weekend day alone, away...sitting beside a pool, having a spa day, hiking on The Trace...My creative and I went to shop for flowers...
The spring weather is intoxicating...
oh. my. goodness.
It could not be more perfect outside than it is today...
today's weather is spot-on for a Friday which made our trip to pick out some blossoms and blooms all that much more fun
We picked out Lantana, Upright Petunias, Vine-like Petunias, Blue Salvia and one other whose name is escaping me at the moment...and I kept it under 40 bucks!
Well done!
Once home from our outing, our date continued with potting, planting and watering. Progress in the yard as a whole is slow, but the pops of color in the flowers make a huge difference.

Not only do I have the new shades of pink and purple dotting the garden, my peach & orange Joseph's Coat Rose bush is stunning as are my popping pink Peonies which have tripled in size since we uprooted a conifer next to it.
Ahh... the glory of spring
Fresh and new
Clear daylight
Brightest sunshine
birds singing
breeze blowing
AND
...... the "Pièce De Résistance" .....
no humidity
